
Brand identity and phone gift package created for DT AS level. Packaging dimensions and branding based around the OnePlus 2.
Being a gift package, the purchaser would have the option to customise it for the receiver by choosing from a selection of different sleeves to wrap around it. Once the sleeve was removed, the package could be opened by lifting the triangular tab, held shut magnetically. Upon lifting the lid the user would discover the smartphone lifted itself up towards the user. This both presents it to them nicely, as well as making it easier to pick up by introducing a small gap beneath the phone. Once the phone has been removed, beneath a tray are the accessories, which fit snugly into slots in the box. On in the inside of the lid there's a quick-start guide and leaflet to help the user get set up.
The whole experience is designed to feel premium, using strong materials and snug fits as well as little details such as the magnetic closure and the propping up of the phone.
